Hello Everyone,

It is that time of year once again!  The first Go The Distance Family Bike Event took place the school year Christian became a student at EPIC. He was three years old.  He is now 18 years old!  Kevin and I would like to thank everyone for their continued support for EPIC and this event. This year, EPIC will open its Adult Program. - EPIC Inclusive Communities (EPIC IC).    This program will provide day and employment programming to adults with autism.  There are not enough day programs for adults with autism in our area. It is so good to know that there will be a place for our kids once they graduate.  Your donations will benefit both the school and the adult program.

Christian has had another great year at EPIC.  He has two work locations for his work-based learning.  One is a local grocery store and the other is Beloved Bath.  At the grocery store he puts away returns and blocks shelves.  He really enjoys this work. EPIC staff accompany him to the work location. They have helped him with skills such as tolerating specific noises, speaking politely to customers and how to deal with difficult situations.   All skills that are needed in the workplace. He has also learned many skills at Beloved Bath. He loves both of his work-based learning experiences.  Christian also continues to work on his reading and communication skills and is doing very well.  He has come a very long way. Many thanks to his teachers and the EPIC staff for their dedication to Christian.

Thank you again for your continued support of EPIC (and now EPIC IC). We truly appreciate it!

Karen & Kevin

Thank you to Marsh for sponsoring GTD again this year!
